Todd Cordell: Inside Michael Grabner's struggles as a member of the Devils

I would've never guessed Maroon would look like the better fit then Grabner.

I don't mind that he hasn't found the back of the net. What bothers me is he doesn't compete when he is on the ice. He looks lost. I don't even hear his name and most of the time forget he is on the roster. I don't think he wants to be a Devil. Coleman should not have even been given the option of giving his # away to Grabner. Was a slap on the face to a guy who has skated hard for us all year. Still would rather see non competitive Grabner in the lineup over Hayes.

As much as he sucks now, he'll break out when we need it most.

Grabner was effective the first 2-3 games. Since then, he's been invincible. Didn't have a good feeling about the trade just strictly because we broke tradition by trading with the rags.

yeah grabner's #intangibles and GRIT/60 is the problem.

Clearly Grabner is a spy and clearly Shero has caused a rift in the space/time continuum by trading with the Rangers .

Both have been a waste of picks in my opinion. The only good thing resulting in this trade is that shero has shown that he isn't afraid to make moves. Unfortunately Columbus hosts Montreal, and Florida hosts Ottawa. Doubt either of our wildcard competitors will take less than 2 points tonight.

Totally agree. Unless Grabner starts producing why would we be interested? Maroon might get expensive but he brings a lot of things the Devils need.
